D'Accord Music Software D'Accord FreeClef
About the Free Clef Project

Free Clef is a free software (open source) project, a initiative from D'Accord Music Software. It aims to give the users a cost-free notation editor, which can be improved from anyone from the music community or the software developer community.

Free Clef was supported by the Brazilian Counsel of Technology and Scientific Development (CNPq), through the RHAE-Innovation program. Together with CNPq, this project also has the participation of the Computer Music Research Group from the Federal University of Pernambuco (CIn-UFPE).

The software is currently licensed through the terms of the GNU General Public License version 2.0. This allows Free Clef to be freely used by anyone, including musicians, students, researchers and schools.

Free Clef pretends to become to be the main free software for notation editing. For this, we count with the community collaboration. Programmers and software engineers can participate actively on the project, creating new features and fixing bugs eventually.
