Using Free Clef

Getting started
When Free Clef is open, it already shows you a blank score where you can start working. You can start editing from this empty score. You can make a new blank score appear again, cliking in the New icon, or the File / New menu.

Importing/Exporting a MusicXML file

You can bring your existing MusicXML files to Free Clef, edit and save them using the Import/Export options in the File menu, or the Import/Export icons in the File bar.

When clicking on one of these options, a dialog will appear asking you to choose the desired file to be open or saved.

You may wish to save specific information about the song along with the score. This information can be entered clicking the “Song Information” icon or in the File / Song Information menu.
